Mexicans at the WC in Qatar.
Damn, wasnโt expecting this. I knew when I looked at the fixtures that this would be dropped right away since E and I generally both submit our lineups early. I needed the points so Iโll take it and Iโm sure E doesnโt care since France won today.
Anyway, what I was saying about the game needing an update, Iโll use my own player. Barrenetxea is nowhere near what heโs producing for my team, especially compared to other players. Oh, and I was thinking today how I probably forgot to it Pablo Torre down as Alvarezโs replacement on the bench, so I guess thatโs the Dani Rodriguez siting. Need to get A LOT more out of Alvarez too, hence the switch to big Lorenzo. Anyway, GG E and thanks for simming James.
fwiw, the way we use the sim, the average u21 player is probably about 12-18 months behind where they are in real life. of course the very best players are probably much closer to where they are in real life.

Right before the pk, I was thinking “Memo is going to save this”.
If you need a good champ division gk, Guillermo Ochoa is rated 140 in FM2023.

A Saudi Arabian defenderโs horrifying injuries have been revealed after a brutal clash in the final minutes of his sideโs upset victory over Argentina at the World Cup.
Yasser Al Shahrani was unresponsive after he was kneed in the head by his own goalkeeper in stoppage time, with referee Slavko Vincicโs bizarre call to allow play to continue nearby quickly overshadowed by the rapturous result.
It is the second time in two days FIFA officials have come under fire over their handling of a concussion incident.
Al Shahrani was struck by teammate Mohammed Al-Owaisโ knee while chasing a lofted ball inside the box by Argentina in the fifth minute of added time.
The defender, whose head also bounced off the turf upon landing, did not move while Lionel Messi dribbled just metres away.
With an increased emphasis on refusing to reward time-wasting at this yearโs World Cup, Vincic waited nearly 20 seconds before running to Al Shahrani and call for medical attention.
An emotional Al-Owais held his hands to his head and gestured for doctors to rush to his teammateโs aid.
The defender was stretchered from the field and has reportedly been diagnosed with a fractured jaw, broken facial bones and internal bleeding. The 30-year-old offered two thumbs up as he was carried out of the stadium.

Hell of a thing the Saudis pulled off.

I told the wife, USA was absorbing too much pressure and if Wales kept it up they would score. Sure enough, not even 5 minutes later, they gave up the stupid PK.
Oh boyโฆ If itโs not an injury itโs another red. Hopefully FM23 is updated. GG James and thanks for simming Zizou.
I just wanted to point out that yellow cards, red cards and injuries in the sim arenโt always completely random. A GMโs instructions will have a lot to do with how often you his teams get them. Itโs not just the players or the instructions they have on a given match (the instructions for an anchor man, a ball winner, etc.). Itโs also the instructions in the tac on attack and defense. If your instructions are aggressive, youโll likely see more cards and suspensions. We kind of established the theory a few seasons ago when simmers noticed that the teams that had a slew of these incidents stack up (as youโre seeing now) were also GMs that were using very aggressive tacs/instructions. And that was happening, as a result. Those kind of instructions usually leads to a lot of goals, if you can get them to work for you. And thatโs definitely been the case for your two Senior clubs as far as goals scored. But it can also have its drawbacks.
Again, thatโs not always the case. Aggressive tacs donโt necessarily always mean more cards and injuries. Theyโre just more likely. If you notice it becoming a problem, feel free to make an adjustment and despite exceptions, you may see difference in the long run.
For the record, I always instruct my players to be kind and courteous on the pitch, make sure their tackles are clean, raise their hand when they commit a foul to demonstrate their culpability, and to always help the opposing player up off the pitch. I suggest they go to confession if they commit a particularly bad foul, but that is optional depending on their religious practices.

Phil baby, sweetheart, bubula! I always knew you had it in you. Uh, no, you’re not starting next round.
What the match story doesn’t say is Foden picked off a pass in his own end and and took it half way down the pitch beating 2 defenders and the keeper.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen a player get the highest match rating and not get MOTM. Interesting.
Thanks Z. Good match BG. Check is in the mail Pau.

The offside was on the FK before.
I’ve watched this quite a few times now. When the free kick was taken, the only player that could have been offside was Valencia. There were Qatari players that were closer to the box line on the far side of the box marking Ecuadorian players than Valencia was.

The Qatari gk got the first touch on the free kick. There’s and Ecuadorian player behind the gk and the defender but he wasn’t offside when the kick was taken and didn’t touch the ball here.

When the ball was crossed to Valencia, he was onside. So I still don’t see who could have been offside. The graphic that was shown 9 minutes after the fact showed a player offside well after the free kick was taken.

Is it my imagination or did FOX not show starting lineups? And no way that goal was offside.
