At least once every window, Luigi gets the roster numbers wrong in his bid. Someone else will get the team name wrong or the player name wrong or not follow the format (like I have until very recently). Everyone (including a newbie, sorry for using that term Chris if it irks you) can get a pass.

I never said anything about bid mistakes, I’m certainly not one who never makes one.

I just wanted to be an ass because Blaugrana was one in that whole debacle.
He lost the money I wanted to send him, I lost big money in that bid, we’re both losing here.So yeah, my mouth will be shut next time and I’ll only tell guys like Bryn, Xavi or Xerxes when I plan to counter.

My apologies for not including “FC Barcelona”. I think I did the rest of my bids correctly and I count my squad numbers 3x after every day too…

I think I’ve done so with multiple GMs and only you and Chris have thought it would be cool to do that.
If Z is fine with it, then so be it.Fine with it would not accurately describe my feelings about this. However, in these kind of scenarios I prefer to let the shareholders (you all) decide. If you want to ban self-countering, let the crowd decide and ban it. I’d be in favor of banning it. But there’s only a few things I’ll swing the hammer for. I prefer not having to wield it.
Like I said, it’s up to you, but I think a decision needs to be made here. Also, since my bid here and other bids didn’t include FC Barcelona for any of the SC Freiburg bids and Boca Juniors, does that invalidate them? Please advise.

Let’s say I counter this one, it doesn’t make my U21 active bid inactive.That’s not for me to decide, but I would think that you can’t bid on WZE until your bid for Mudryk expires or is countered by another eligible team. IMO there is a way for you to do this, but it would mean a 10 million bid for WZE.
It IS the rule. You can’t counter a bid when you have one active already.
I would say you bidding on your own bid is a counterbid, thus it is against the rules since you have an active bid.
But again, if Zizou said it’s allright, then it’s allright.
He seems to have told you it was, and apparently he told PP too.

I have only ever had one open bid with Boca Juniors as I do presently.

Like I said, this isn’t personal and for the record I don’t think it’s “cool”, but it’s an option as the rules are stated at least as I read them. That said, of course I don’t enforce the rules. For the record I did reach out to Zizou prior to bidding and immediately after the bid was made. I have nothing to hide with regards to that conversation, but since it involved both of us I’ll just share what I told him after I made the bid and that was simply informing him of the bid as I wanted to be upfront.
With regards to this sort of bidding, I actually think it should be an option. Say you miss out on Messi and you in turn want to up your bid on Ronaldo you can then do so. I also think that communicating you plan a counter bid is in some ways a “gentleman’s move”, however if it also involves the option of you offering a trade to get the player cheaper than your counter bid then I would say that should be considered with regards to the how “gentlemanly” it is overall. That’s not to say I think Evilo had any specific intentions.
