As I mentioned last round, our webbie is currently running some fixes on the site so our updated tables, for now, can be found HERE.

Even though the League title winners were confirmed last round, for nearly every team there is still much to play for in the final league round of the season.

Every position on the table varies in prize money and there is much left to be had and lost.

Goal difference is all that separates 2nd and 3rd.
            1 point separates 4th and 5th.
            3 points separate 6th and 7th.
            2 points separate 9th from 11th.
            2 points separate 11th from 12th.
            3 points separate 12th from 13th.
& at 14th, Liverpool is still not out of being able to escape the cellar.

            1 point separates 2nd from 3rd.
            3 points separate 3rd from 4th.
            1 point separates 4th from 5th.
            3 points separate 5th from 7th.
            2 points separate 7th from 9th.
            3 points separate 8th from 12th.
            3 points separate 10th from 13th.

            2 points separate 4th from 6th.
            1 point separates 7th from 10th.
            1 point separates 11th from 12th.
            3 points separate 13th from 14th.

The streets of Milan were painted black and blue as I Nerazzurri once again became Premiership champions, clinching the title in the penultimate round of Season 22.

Not sure what to say but I’ll give it my best shot.

I remember the day a few years ago when Xavi4life and I were living together, he said to me in our parlor as we were discussing that year’s Pre-season aspirations in the Premiership at whatever point this was, “no one wants to see you win.” I immediately didn’t know what to think about what he had said because I didn’t fully know what he meant so my face just froze with a half-smile not knowing how to respond. Then he continued, “you’ve built by trade and free agents like the best or second most stacked Premiership team, that you keep, and with all the sims you manage, you’ve got a great sense of what works in the game which always makes you competitive… so everyone roots against you (your Prem team) because everyone’s trying to beat it.” And man, I’ve always remembered that.

He was right, I think. That was absolutely fair, I mean. And it was, in my opinion, the trade for Messi and Mbappé that paved the way for that. That trade gave me the team that won back-to-back Season 18 (Borussia Dortmund) and Season 19 (Inter) titles and established our position at or near the top of the table with both of them on the field. But winning a third Prem title with them now in the last season of their era together, is a big relief after a few seasons of coming really close and falling just short. It feels truly rewarding because honestly, to win a league title, so many things have to go right for you along the way. You need the team. Your tacs have to work. You need sim luck. You need health. You need other GMs to struggle. You just need to be the horse that crosses the line first, really. So, I’m really happy because I know how hard it is to do and how much harder it gets every year that GMs continue to relentlessly try to get better and better.

This is my 6th Premiership title in all. Seasons 12, 14, 16, 18, 19 and now 22. And I’m already really looking forward to trying to defend it post-Mbappé.

              And potentially, post-Inter.

I’ve thought of potentially leaving Inter for over a season as my heart has had eyes for other clubs as of late, besides my one and only FCB. I haven’t decided yet. But if I do, it’ll truly be the end of an era and I’ll have felt happy to have ended my run at Inter on a winning note. But who knows, I may stay put. Because I’ve loved Inter since the days of Zanetti and Cambiasso, even overlooking that they brought Figo in. Anyway, I look forward to trying to create a new era post-Mbappé and post peak-Messi to compete against all of you again next season.

Congratulations go out to Xavi4life & Vitória de Guimaraes!

Os Vimaranenses (from Guimarães) raised their first ever Dynasty Liga Championship trophy after a years-long pursuit by GM Xavi4life, seeing off a myriad of challengers and clinching the title with one round to go. This is X4L’s third Championship title having previously won the South and North American Football League (SNAFL) with Zizou and Vasco da Gama, as well as having won it in Season 8 with Gremio. But eight seasons since his last Championship title win, X4L and Vitória overcame FC St Pauli in Round 17 and never looked back, en route to hoisting the trophy once again.

An incredible job by X4L, who once again continues to stake his claim on a single corner of the globe, exceling with a team comprised of only South American players. Congrats again to a job well done!

And also, on a personal level, having been there to see X4L suffer heartbreak during the Pandemic after seeing a potential title bid go up in smoke and title chances slip away, I know how much it means to X4L to once again be able to add hardware to his collection. The sting that is felt after a season of much promise is something I’m left to feel right now. So, I know it must feel really good to finally vanquish those demons.

In celebration with us, the lovely Alejandra Guilmant sent in a postcard to Dynasty Liga head offices to congratulate Xavi4life and show her support. What a gal!

Congratulations go out to ProPAIN & Flamengo!

Rio de Janeiro was in full celebration as Flamengo won their record-breaking fourth consecutive U21 league title with a home win, their 16th win of the season. Having set a new standard for consistent dominance, Flamengo once again saw off challenges from multiple challengers to raise the trophy with one round to spare. An excellent job by ProPAIN to excel in this competition regardless of players. Incredible! Congrats again!

And if anyone is missing the celebration of lovely ladies, you know I’ve got your back.

In case you missed it on the shoutbox, the tables are not updating on the front-page. I’ve asked the Webbie to fix the issue but in the meantime, please see the up-to-date table at the following link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gZLqd8ZQha2l_0NyFlbN2PO1rNbmXG4lZZIwvbXT5fo/edit?usp=sharing/

One of the more important things to remember is our matches are simmed as one off friendlies. Depending on tac, lineups, home/away and manager instructions, anything can happen. The sim and simmer do not take into account what your players and team have done to this point.

                      This.

Unfortunate but true. A shitty necessity.

This is crazy! Third game in two rounds that I get a player sent off and lose that game despite the man advantage! Explain that to me cause I don’t get it!
GG Santi! Thanks for simming Z! Obviously not blaming you for anything

It’s tough luck, unfortunately. I personally don’t think the sim is harsh enough on teams being a man down but you’ve been unlucky too. It’s not a bad idea though, and I’m not saying that this would have helped in this case, to include management instructions for when teams are a man down against you. Maybe you change things up and go more offensive? It’s up to you but I could see how if you approached a game defensively away (not saying you did, per se), maybe you change it up after an opposition red card? Whatever instructions I’m giving to follow I will to the best of my ability, on your behalf.

Winning in style playing the majority of the second half with 10 men, not to mention with three different goal line clearances to boot… what an incredible run by the Champs, Flamengo, who’ve made winning the league a habit.
