Reworked my roster spreadsheet for this purpose.

Note:

– Someone please help separate Rabiot from his mother
– Eric García is a quality defender. Barca quality? Well, he’s better than Christensen anyway. Happy that he returned to the club.
– Happy that Xavi Simons got another loan to return to Leipzig but I’m hoping a club buys him outright after this season
– Douglas Luiz wasn’t listed amongst Xavi’s players and should’ve been since he owns him and is only on my roster on loan (for now). So I listed him on my spreadsheet.
– As an aside, yellow denotes players I’m shopping.

It used to be that teams could get by routinely with 2 GKs because they’d never get hurt but FM has made them fair game now.

I’ve loved tournaments like these as long as I can remember, but honestly, especially since 2014 World Cup, when I watch them, I’m mainly interested in following my players, more than rooting any country, in particular. (Besides Mexico. Viva México!) I sometimes even follow my ex-players (Denmark has 4!)

While four injuries in a match for a single team is a bit much, I’m encouraged by the fact that a goalkeeper suffered an injury, even if it was a minor one. I can’t remember the last injury to a keeper but I’m sure it was once in a single season and maybe a year or two ago. Keepers have been far too immune in our league because of the way we operate. As a result, some teams only carry two goalkeepers. It would be nice to see even them even occasionally have to endure the same things that affect the rest of the team, for the sake of realism.
