Get your lineups in for the opening round of the Dynasty Cup. Just a reminder that the payouts for the Dynasty Cup were increased, including purses for Quarter-Finalists, as well.

Early Cup rounds always present a good opportunity to possibly rotate a lineup or try something different with lower stakes than a league match.

Perfect combination of the right elements for a lopsided result. If I ran it again, I doubt it would be this crooked. Sometimes FM has it in for you for a round. Sometimes your goalkeeper does.

Not getting in your own way is an art form.

But sometimes, Football Manager just decides to make it hard on you and for whatever reason, it takes a longer time to find the right combination to get results. And sometimes your first throw of a the dye just works and gets you far without many changes along the way, until it inevitably runs dry or requires tinkering.

It drives me crazy as I’m sure it does everyone else that it’s not easier or that it’s sometimes just harder for some reason but as someone who’s won a few titles, that’s ultimately also part of what makes it fun. The game sucks for everyone but the league winner and winning the league is a feeling like, well there’s nothing like it. But it’s satisfying to have the game reward your ideas. It’s not the best arbiter and I wish we had one better but it’s what we have and we make it as fair as possible.

Premiership write-ups coming tomorrow and I guarantee they’re worth the wait.

Something I’ve noticed simming friendlies is how fatigued players are getting towards the end of matches so make sure you have adequate sub instructions that takes fatigue into consideration.
