By countering my own bid it made my prior bid inactive in the same step.
See, that’s not how it works.
Let’s say I counter this one, it doesn’t make my U21 active bid inactive.That’s not for me to decide, but I would think that you can’t bid on WZE until your bid for Mudryk expires or is countered by another eligible team. IMO there is a way for you to do this, but it would mean a 10 million bid for WZE.
Like I said, this isn’t personal and for the record I don’t think it’s “cool”, but it’s an option as the rules are stated at least as I read them. That said, of course I don’t enforce the rules. For the record I did reach out to Zizou prior to bidding and immediately after the bid was made. I have nothing to hide with regards to that conversation, but since it involved both of us I’ll just share what I told him after I made the bid and that was simply informing him of the bid as I wanted to be upfront.
With regards to this sort of bidding, I actually think it should be an option. Say you miss out on Messi and you in turn want to up your bid on Ronaldo you can then do so. I also think that communicating you plan a counter bid is in some ways a “gentleman’s move”, however if it also involves the option of you offering a trade to get the player cheaper than your counter bid then I would say that should be considered with regards to the how “gentlemanly” it is overall. That’s not to say I think Evilo had any specific intentions.

Well looking at some of the bids out there all I can say is that I could be wanted to be counterbidding. And with regards to that for me it’s not personal and if it is you’re wasting your time and money. My second bid ever was a counter of Gooner and with respect to everyone else is probably the last person I’d wanna do that too.
And on a sidenote if you ever see my posts a bed instead of bid that’s Siri…
